How do I start?
Services

To improve accessibility in your business, we propose a three-step strategy:

[

AccessAudit

We help you identify and agree on your aim and on the parts of your digital and/or built environments that need to be analyzed.

Next, we find the best team for your needs. You will also need to designate an AccessOfficer in your team, because communication, both internal and external, is fundamental.

The audit is undertaken during a period of 2 weeks to 2 months following agreement.

Based on the audit, we prepare a report on your company’s current level of access.

This process will identify:

    • Strengths: though you may not even be aware of it, you might already have good practices in place
    • Weaknesses: areas that need to be worked on
    • Improvements: possibilities and recommendations for mitigating and solving accessibility problems.

AccessTip: 71% of disabled customers will immediately leave a non-accessible site or venue and will never return.

    ActionPlan

Once we have identified and agreed on your aim and the areas you want to improve, we will draw up a detailed roadmap establishing targets, actions, priorities and timeframes.

Two pillars of the action plan are Training and Formats.

    Training

One of the pillars of the plan is to engage and inspire your team. When you decide to start making your business more accessible, you will need the involvement of your staff.

With regard to disability and accessibility, everybody is willing to help, but they often do not know how.

Training gives people the skills and confidence to implement the plan from the beginning and to incorporate accessibility in future projects.

    • Information
    • Inspiration
    • Sensibilization
    • Specific and tailored topics

AccessTip: Simply asking ‘Can I help you?’ in a natural, respectful way can make customers feel more comfortable and welcome.

    Formats

Cater for your customers’ needs by providing the same information in different formats to provide a better experience for everyone.

    • Large print and braille
    • Signage
    • Raised images
    • Models
    • Audio description
    • Captioning
    • Sign language
    • Inclusive activities
    • Didactic materials
    • Specialized visits and tours

AccessTip: Each satisfied customer with a disability generates an average of 1.5 to 3 more customers.

    Achievement

Implementing the plan requires the involvement of all the team. During the process, we will work together, provide resources and feedback and monitor the process evaluation.

    Digital

    • Apps
    • Web pages
    • Social media
    Communication

Spread the word: it’s time to tell the world what you are doing. This should be external as well as internal (sometimes we forget!). Show your projects, share your knowledge, your successes and your improvements, implement accessibility in all environments and enhance your reputation.

AccessTip: Considering that 94% of people use a mobile phone to go online, making your digital accessible and usable is a great opportunity to open up your market.
